Well you don't have to worry about scuffin' this one! lol I saw a 2 Pro once that had the black faceplate stripped down to bare aluminum and was mounted in a Diamond Blue Check headbox once - looked pretty cool. An amp like this would be a great candidate if you wanted to try out some custom looks.

I am actually watch'n that thing to see how much higher it goes in price. wouldn't be a bad buy. If I got it cheap enough and it worked good I wouldn't care what color it was painted. I am sure I could find a way to fix the white paint thing........

The seller probably bought it 3rd or 4th-hand. It's probably modded to hell (and 99% of it not in a good way). Missing feet, half-ass paint job (probably covering up some shotgun shot dents or something), mismatched knobs and an evil hum to boot. $50, yes. $550? OH hell no. I'm sure it makes sound...but try turning some knobs with the amp cranked up and I'll bet satellites fall from the sky and all the neighbor's garage doors start randomly opening and closing. The missing/mismatched knobs and feet provide zero functionality. But IMO, it's indicative of the trailer park, abusive life this amp has most probably led. Pass.

Missing feet - Really isn't an issue. I've NEVER had to make use of those one's on the back.

Half-assed paint job - Easily fixable

Mismatched knobs - Easily fixable

Hum - Most likely an easy fix (could just be needing a tweak of the hum control on the back). Either way, whenever I've bought an amp I've gotten it serviced, saves hassle.


Looking beat up doesnt mean it has lived an abusive life. (See the "how to road wear your basses threads" ). My SVT-II was more abused than most, it was a whore (rent out amp ) for ~16 years, used in many big festivals and whatnot. It no doubt had to put up with a hell of a lot more abuse than that thing had to!
