Those 'interesting' basses you've always craved?

i'm simple, fondled a flying V a week ago and i'd love to own one,Epiphone so i can't compare to all the custom jobs but i liked it in my hands,if i could have used a strap and actually played it i may have bought it(still might)wife sort of showed up before she was supposed to:crying:

all that Korina transparent finish, pickups i've never played, looking down i thought hmm yeah THIS would be my`metal' axe fo sho! 5 pedals DIMED:bassist:(only fender shtuff for me so far) so it's like a turning point of`getting past' the Fender Thang,no no Fenders for sale but you asked.

i'd also love to have a thunderbird non reverse of any kind but once again these are `cookie cutters' so i'll quit wasting bandwidth;)

I have always had a thing for these:

Rickenbackers- even when I didn't play bass these things facinated me.
Ibanez AGB 140
Ibanez RKB Basses

I have never had much interest in boutique basses but Dingwalls have always been the exception. They look beautiful, the body shape, the angled pick ups and those fanned fretts just make we want one.

I second this.

Add me to this list!

I'd also love to come across a Guild SB-203. I played one once at a now-defunct music store in New Haven CT, way back in the early to mid 80's. This one was phased out to make way for the Pilot. The body was kinda P-bass shaped but it had 3 single coil pickups.

Here's a pic:
