That sounds about right. I was never a fan of the gain and master volume setup. Too many variables...

I like one knob that says "volume" and if you wanted some bark, you turned it up until it started to bark.

That's the best approach, but if I ever tried it with an SVT, I would have been beaten to death by every single band I've ever been in. Fortunately, I can usually get away with doing it to a B-15 so that's my cranker of choice.

More bass gear than guitar gear on stage is a beautiful thing!
