Thread counts have spiraled out of control

I sleep on the floor. I'm pretty sure the thread count of the floor is 0, unless there is a hair or something on it, in which case it is 1.

I've read that anything over 300 or 400 is actually imperceptible and if you notice a difference beyond that it's due to the quality of material/thread used and not the thread count.

Soon we are going to have the bedsheetophiles turning up to say they can feel the difference.

Scientists will show that in blind testing there is no difference to be felt.

This going to turn into another thread like the Tara Labs cable challenge.
