Three way muff love: BBM/GGG-tuned/Sovtek green

Sorry about the volume thing......... Both the Tuned and the Sovtek were a little hard to control without starting and stopping.....


In clips start with fuzz at min then 12 O'clock then max

I didn't fiddle with the tone controls on any of them, all are strait up.
I find the Tuned works better for me live then the others..

It's funny direct the BBM has more lows then the tuned, but through my amp it was the other way 'round

With that data for comparison, I'm glad to know that my GGG Russian Muff build sounds almost identical to that Sovtek.

I'm in love with the sovtek green .. its absolutely the sound im going for.. i have it pretty good with a SUNN 880 through a mesa boogie215 with a music man sting ray

Ironically, I get a similar sound to the GGG Muff if I run my Sovtek thru my DOD FX92 and set the blend knob to about 8 o'clock. Makes me wonder how it'd sound thru a BBM w/a similar blend ratio.

The Sovtek does sound pretty damn good; they all sound similar, but of those clips the Sovtek stands out the most to me. Thanks for sharing

I like Sovtek best. It has the most balanced tone and on higher settings it sounds also like blended with clean signal. For me it's the winner

My GGG-tuned in a 75% effect, 25% dry works best live for me. It's the midsiest muff there is, to my ears at least.

Does anyone make a green sovtek with a clean blend? I was thinking of breaking my builder virginity with the green russian from GGG but I'd love a blend and am to noob to figure out how to do it myself.
