Three way muff love: BBM/GGG-tuned/Sovtek green

Adding a blend means that you would have to add another board internally. It is possible, but you need an enclosure large enough to house both boards.
How large is large? EHX XO size like the BBM? I personally prefer that size to MXR small things.
You could do it in a box that size for sure.
If you were building it from scratch on veroboard you could do it all on one board, but I'd suggest trying it w/o the blend if it's your first one, and then maybe modding it later.

You could do it in an XO-sized/1590BB enclosure, but you'd have to stack the boards carefully.

Wounded Paw sells kits for the blender. The upside of having a blender in its own box is that you can add other pedals to the blend. If you stick it inside the BMP enclosure, you're stuck w/ that and only that.

Thats probablly a good idea. Build now, tweak later.
I know the benefits/limitations, I've owned blenders and blended pedals from time to time. I've got a very specific set of circumstances I want to slot this into so blend on-board is what I want. Someone should could out of retirement

If I may make a request, would it be possible to make and post a clip where you play one effect with the gain cranked, then switch to the other with the dain cranked, and then the third please?
I would like a comparison of the three at max gain. I need a second Muff to accompany may blue and gray Sovtek on my board, and I am not sure what route to go.

Sorry about the volume thing.........Both the Tuned and the Sovtek were a little hard to control without starting and stopping.....
In clips start with fuzz at min then 12 O'clock then max

I didn't fiddle with the tone controls on any of them, all are strait up.
I find the Tuned works better for me live then the others..

I have a sovtek clone and a bluebeard which is similar to the GGG. Ive found that the sovtek is probably the most useable because it has more lows but the Bluebeard has a lot more gain availalbe so its more fun to play with

I think I'm gonna have to build a Green Sovtek clone to go with my ggg tuned.
If you can solder there's plenty of kits available. The cheapest I've found is this one:

I haven't got anything from them yet so can't vouch for quality but will be ordering a few kits and other bits from them in the next week.
Both. But I tend to like a blended sound on most fuzzes really, I like a bi-amped sound for it's complexity, but I don't want to bother with multiple chains and/or bringing two amps; that would get really heavy for me as all I own are tube amps

As long as they aren't the size of a old Sovtek I don't think anyone [other then a few weirdos
] would mind at all I'd buy one ....... I think If I ever get around to making another [with a blend this time, or have one built I think I'd really like to do a gloomy the bear image on it...

I completely understand why a lot of you want blends in your dirt pedals. I messed around with the idea myself. I ditched the idea and I'm running two amps. Best decision ever.
I still need to put together my Ultimate Big Muff. I imagine something along the lines of the Supercollider Beast with a toggle for choosing silicon or germanium clipping diodes and a rotary switch for dialing in different sounds in the tone stack.
