Thumb fatigue

So I've noticed since I got my bass that the only problem is the balance and when I'm resting my right hand thumb I have to push down unusually hard to keep the bass up and I don't have a strap :thumbdown:

Not sure I understand how the balance can be affected if you don't have a strap.

Perhaps you could elaborate a bit more ?

My advice is to always practice and play with a strap. You'll be able to play better if your hands aren't also supporting the instrument.

I mean by holding it on my right leg. The shape is weird and it just slides right of your leg
