I'll hopefully be joining the Thunderbird owners ranks in the next week or two, albeit with an Epiphone as opposed to a Gibby.

Going for the Goth model, but plan on replacing the black guard with a hand made wooden one (rosewood, or stained to look as such) then a NOS Ford T-Bird decal on that. Also considering MOP block decals for the fretboard.

Purely cosmetic changes, but for me the look is a great big part of what makes a T-Bird bass, and I do like to add my own spin to an instrument.

Bingo. '76 Bicentennial body which I got from the original owner. Headstock broke off in the 1970s in NYC and a Fender neck was fitted although it was not with the body when I got it. It now has a '76 P-bass neck, which was fitted by Carlo. I couldn't find a '76 Bicentennial pg (there's one on eBay for a whopping $650) so I had to settle for a post '76 pg (same except for "76" in the eagle's tail.

This 2007 gibson "zebrabird" now sports a Lollar Bridge Pickup along with a Lull Pickup at the neck.
The sonic possibilities seem endless. I love it!

The new epi classic IV pro came in today.

my gig stable...REV%@ used for B tuning and Drop C, the Gibby IV i use for standard (1/2 step down) this is a vintage SB born on Oct 21, 2012. and the EPI Alpine white with chrome PUPs is the bolt on model i use for Drop D.

My '06 arrived today. A nice addition to my stable of black beauties. Restrung it with Dean Markley Nikki Sixx strings. Seemed appropriate.

Just pulled the trigger on an Alpine White Epi Classic Pro IV.

I've been wanting one every since I first heard about them.

Right now, I'm caught between the jubilation that I finally got one of these and the panic of "Holy Crap! now I have to pay for it. Fortunately, I am in the middle of unloading some instruments; guess I'll need to get rid of one or two more to make room (anyone looking for a good deal on a natural finish Epi T-bird Pro?).

I did get the Black Friday 15% discount on it though (Musician's Friend).

Should be here by the end of the week.
