Now I can get in!

My Greco TB arrived yesterday from Japan. 4 weeks on the road. The danish customs were holding on to it, so it ended up being even pricier!

But today Thor and the other nordic gods blessed us with warmth and sun so I took it out to shoot some pron pics!

Very nice Thunderbirds guys!
Greco's and Gibson Studio's a couple of my favorite varitions on Thunderbirds.
Doelle you are #103 and AllyDetour #104 is yours, Thanks guys!

Feel free to post anyy and all pics of you playing your Thunderbirds too.

I just made arrangements to purchase this yet another '67 nonreverse Thunderbird II I should have it by mid month. Not wild about the black/purple refin, I will most likley refinish in a period correct custom color. At the moment I am selling off a chunk of the collection to buy at least one more very nice NR. :)

Of course it has a headstock repair

Two things:
Release all the string tension and in small increments raise the center and top mounting posts - a little at a time for each. You can also unscrew the saddle completely and reverse it, this will give you a little more height as well.
Lastly check the neck relief, my Greco was very flat, adjusting the truss rod for a slight upward really helped.

Can I get a number please?

Awesome Thunderbird!
Thanks for posting, I've added you to the club numbers posted above. As always thanks for dropping by, feel free to post show pics of you and your 'Birds - Welcome Here.

Thanks, Mark, isn't it? It help a bit.
I noticed now that the saddle is smaller, so best solution would probably be to get one that is tall enough.

Now that I got your attention, where would the best placement for the strap button be? If you would be so kind to mark that on the picture :)
