Thunderbird Club Pt III

Here's my Epi-Bird Pro along with a 'flip-flop' cab I designed - use it straight-on or flip it to angle the speaker upwards as a monitor. I made the sides out of oiled mahogany and maple, just like my bird!
I've also found that a strap made from a seatbelt, with a metal end bracket, stops my Bird from tilting forward, and it looks cool.
Can I get a number?

Epiphone Thunderbird Classic :

Epiphone Thunderbird Classic IV (Alpine White) | Sweetwater.com

OHHH, that is nice. Upon further research, these appear to be neck-through, construction, with new (hopefully improved) pickups. Basically, you are getting a Gibson Thunderbird at a third of the price and another choice of finish. Now time to start raiding my house for any and all change that I can find.

JAEBird1.jpg

heres my JAEbird...i love this, Carlo you did an awesome job, got it from TBer BigDaddyO, i thank you both...i always wanted a Fenderbird....coming soon my Gibson TBird 5, and epi ThunderBird Pro IV!!

i do have to report though the JAEBird has moved into the starting line up and will be my GOTO interest. which is exciting i haven't played a 4 banger in ten years.......band setting tomorrow for rehearsal then get to rock out May 5th for its first gig with me!! I'M STOKED!! rawk!!

Does anyone know where I can get replacement mounting bolts for a black 3 point bridge??? Although mine are functional, the slots were a little chewed up when I got it, and I'm picky about that sort of thing... Also, one of my truss rod cover screws was brass, instead of black like the rest - I blackened it in with a sharpy, and it doesn't look too bad, but I wouldn't mind replacing that, either... I called Gibson, looking to buy replacements, and was referred to Allparts and Stew Mac, and told that Gibson doesn't sell hardware like that??? - I couldn't believe it... I searched both of them, and came up empty...

Anyways, if someone has any suggestions, it would be appreciated...

Anyone??? - my main concern is the bridge mounting bolt, closest to the pickup - since it has a smaller head than the other two... I have found a source for the two larger ones...

Its possible, although based on this picture, if you look at the bridge, it appears like there are stringers of some sort. Also, it doesn't seem like the change of pickups would warrant a 200 dollar up-charge.
EBTCVSBH-xlarge.gif

The pickups look just like the US Gibson pickups. If thats the case it would add some expense to the bass. It's only $100 over the Pro model and if it is neck thru with US pickups, then I would pay it. I've been wanting a white Bird anyhow.

Thanks for the info. If this is the case, then these are basically a steal at 500 bucks.

Why do some epiphone thunderbirds have a slight incline to the right and others don't?

I compared my goth to epi pro and epi IV and my goth has a straight headstock (if you look at it from the front) while the IV and the Pro are slightly inclined,

Is it due to construction?

I've noticed what you are talking about, but I have no idea why. I can understand a difference in bolt-on vs neck thru but I would have assumed all bolt necks were made the same way.
