The Blackbird just arrived today.
DaM13N said:Hi TBird users...
I've got some questions that hopefully you guys can shed some lights on...
I am currently using an Epiphone Tbird and I planned to get a Gibson one soon.
The thing is the stores that normally carry them do not have any in stock for me to try. The other one that currently has it, is over-pricing the only Tbird that have by about $1k more, and refused to let me try on with a strap on.
So the questions I have are:
i) Does the Gibson Thunderbird neckdive as much as the Epiphone version?
ii) Are all strap buttons for the Gibson version located at the back of the neck?
iii) What's the weight difference of the Gibsion and Epiphone? I read some that said the Gibson is heavier, and some said the Epiphone is heavier. Does any one know any thing about this?
Thank you.

I have no problem with neckdive with my Gibson being that the strap button is located on the heel of the neck. I don't know the weight difference between the two, but Gibson 'birds are very light.
But! I will join with my 96 non-revers Epi bird for now if thats alright? Found it in a pawn shop for a little bit of nothing a few years back, a small set up and some flats and she plays awesome!

Beat with a ugly stick is about the best I can say about it. The color is cool. Stooopid toggle switch. Buy a Bach way closer to the real deal than this.Just saw this:
