I made my pro IV passive today. v/v/t. with 3way switch, n/n,b/b. I like it. I like it a lot. Just not an active bass guy I guess. I'd like to thank RedNeckBBQ for all his help. Line6man and SGD Lutherie also jumped in and helped. Thanks to them also.
Before and after pics with new knobs and switch. I'm looking for a white pick guard now, if anyone has one they wanna sell or know of anyone hit me up.

Also, my lazy ass friend Sir Charles Barkley, who was watching the Formula 1 qualifying with me this morning. (Fernando Alonso is the man by the way)

so what are the replacement pickups you used ?

Used the stock pickups, they are passive. used 500k audio taper pots. sounds better to me. Different, but in a good way. Sounds boring playing alone but when played with others really cuts through and has the bottem end I like.

Thanks guys....I regret ever selling my old 1960's decade era Gibson Thunderbird! But I ran into some hard luck 20 years ago and needed the money and had to downsize. I got this affordable Epi to help me relive it a little. Once I get my daughter out of college, I'll be back looking for a Gibson and then I'll have 2 Thunderbirds!!!

Yeah man. 2two is always better that One.
But sending you daughter to college is inportant to.
Epiphone birds are killer basses, and it's less painfull when you bump into somthing by exicdent.

I got this stripped Epi Pro IV from Riceage on Ebay last year for $100 delivered. Replaced the trussrod and finally got around to finishing it. Pickups/rings, bridge/tailpiece and bridge/pick up covers are from ThunderBucker Ranch. Bicentennial bird and decal by me.
