That's about how low I wear mine as well. I basically want my right thumb to naturally rest at neck pickup with my arm extended and not really bent at all.

I got this stripped Epi Pro IV from Riceage on Ebay last year for $100 delivered. Replaced the trussrod and finally got around to finishing it. Pickups/rings, bridge/tailpiece and bridge/pick up covers are from ThunderBucker Ranch. Bicentennial bird and decal by me.

Nice job Carlo - is the middle raised section of the body the same width as a Gibson? It looks like your chrome handrest is a perfect fit. On my Epi standard IV, the raised section is slightly wider, and so my handrest doesn't quite fit since it's sized for a Gibson.

The Epi Pro center section is about 1/8 " wider than a vintage 60s TBird. A Bicentennial is the same width as the Epi. These covers will fit them.

My Epi bolt on's center section is almost 1/2" wider than my '65 TBird so they don't fit. No decision decision has been made on covers for bolt ons.

It's almost about how low my basses hang.
On my photos my strap is not how i normaly have them, i just took them of my guitars. .
Normal ITs a little bit lower.

And how care how low or high the bass hangs right?

you might try something very mild to start like 70% rubbing alcohol carefully on a cotton pad around the smudge.

Well...I didn't have any rubbing alcohol, but the wifey's nail polish remover did the trick! Thanks!

did the nail polish remover leave the plastic smooth? reason for asking the bird on one of mine is kinda smudged and was thinking about trying to take it off. and it seems like it is next to impossible to get any original thunder Bird replacement parts or epiphone parts from epiphone at all.

Yeah the plastic was nice and smooth. It left a little stain, but with some elbow grease and some "Krud Kutter" (degreaser/stain remover spray) it looks like a plain white pickguard.

WD Music (wdmusic.com) will make you a custom pickguard, you just need to trace yours on a regular sheet of printer paper and mail it to them. I'm getting a quote from them for a plain black pickguard, so I'll let you know how much they're asking.

I dont get how the dude with the P bass plays more then the first 5 frets. I play low , but high enough I reach all frets comfortably. He also has no G string.

yeah I agree, I play low but not that low. I'd like to know what he does to keep his top strap peg from loosening / pulling out all the time. I know it happens to me every so often and I don't play as low as that dude.

My Gibson Tbird's pickups are making a god awful buzzing sound. It's been doing this for a short while, but today it really stood out. Any ideas on how to fix it?
