The bands new video for What I love About America. Shot in one afternoon multiple locations. Features my rebuilt '67 NR Thunderbird II. Invalid Link Removed

Oh I don't know Mark, just busy I guess! I have been playing NR Thunderbirds since '77 or '78. This footage is from 1986, The band EXPOSE out of Boston, We were this close to getting signed, we were on WBCNs national rotation without a label, then the band imploded. I still have the bass, jacket and Tshirt! http://youtu.be/E1fP5tLo_oA

This just showed up today. It's in pretty good shape and it has the original case :) Not sure if you can tell from the pics but it's the sea foam green color.

Very cool in seafoam green! I'd change out those pups for your favorite P/J combo. I had one, the neck hurt my hand for some odd reason. Nice score!

I have a Dimarzio P in my other Epi NR. I like that a lot but I want to do something different with this one. Maybe some 1/4 Pounders or something???

The neck on the green one feels thinner than my NR that I'm refinishing. Same width side to side, but not as rounded a profile.

My Gibsons (from '70s, '80s and '00s ) are all very similar 1.5" at the nut - probably what you dislike. Greco Thunderbirds are much more like a P Bass at the nut, not always easy to find, but they come up on ebay. They are great T Birds too, very growly pups!

If you want a fat necked Thunderbird, I would just get an Epiphone Standard IV. They are cheap, easy to find, and if you want to mod it a bit - the process is well documented here. The nut is wider - more like a P-bass, and if you are coming from the Fender camp, the bolt on neck and overall feel will suit you just fine. I pimped an Epi Limited and with the addition of upgraded bling and a Lull in the bridge, the bass holds its own compared to my Gibsons.
