It’s one of the very few that I’ve seen that looks to be in real good shape, so I’d expect a premium. Besides it comes with a hash pipe!
That’s the biggest table lamp I’ve ever seen!
Any Hoodoo Gurus fans here? The Australian legends dropped a new album on Friday. I like it.
It was Greco II rotation day today, played for a couple hours along with Swing, Big Band and Jazz tunes and it sounded phenomenal! (Note, I didn’t, it did).I can only imagine how good that sounds.
I’m still looking for a new set of strings for the BaCH, the Pyramids might be on the short list as are Roto flats. I know the current chrome flats aren’t cutting it, much too bright. I’ll probably drop a Thunderbucker in as well.I find the TIs generally brighter and the mids (which are very present) tend to be mid to upper mids. Pyramids seem darker and thicker sounding to me. Mids seem lower. Kind of like GHS Precision Flats, which have good low mids, but are slightly brighter than the Pyramids, but not as much as TIs or EBCFs.
No, but I did do the Moon Walk in front of 400-500 federal prisoners ~35 years ago.Moon boots?

I'm not saying it never happened in Christian history (everything has likely happened a few times in 2000 plus years, but that doesn't necessarily make it a practice. I'm not sure I'd count on a book about a TV program for religious history. I'd like to see in a scholarly book to satisfy my doubt. But even in such sources things aren't always correct. Many things have been attributed to that belief system that actually aren't believed. I've read several books that I won't name and kept laughing that no one I know believes the things stated (for ridicule buy "scholars" no less). I've never heard of that before, not impossible, but I'd say pretty unlikely.
Looks like your backup is an Aria Pro 2?

The Chrome flats on it right now are too bright for my tastes, so time for a change.why flats?

Just played it. Pretty good.Yep I like the Guru’s
I would almost like to have one but every one I have seen is FUBARED and way overpriced.
That one is overpriced by at least 3x
A google search shows prices ranging from $1,000 to $3,500 depending on condition and year of bass.
Remember, some people still think it is the year 2000 or earlier.

A thought came to mind, do you guys also use the phrase “out of whack”?
The Roto's are stiff. Might want to at least consider going to a lighter gauge if that could be an issue. They also tend toward the bright side of flats. Not a lot, just that lean that direction more than the thump direction. They have nice mids (no surprise), and for some reason are very low output. Amps have volume controls so that's not problem unless changes basses during a set.The Chrome flats on it right now are too bright for my tastes, so time for a change.
Was kinda thinking it would be neat on this bass to go full retro and install a Thunderbucker 66N or 66S and strings that would be close to what would have been the norm in the late 1960’s, which I assume would be these…
