With holes in the body, the headstock becomes relatively heavier and neck dive becomes higher velocity allowing greater range on the flying headstock.
Holes in the headstock, holes in the neck. Holes in great quantity, holes by the peck. Holes driving Cadillacs to Washington, DC, when I set my chickens free!

Those of you who added pickup rings to your TB ... did you drill or just use double sided tape to hold them on like Steve at Thunderbucker suggests?

I suppose I'm going to have to drill to install the handrest though ...
tape, i later cut the screws and cyanoed the heads to the ring…

1975 Winterland; they had to kidnap the bassist from a Moonie commune in Belgium to make the gig. I was there. Still have vision issues from Ronnie Montrose hitting me in the eyes with a stage light reflecting off his chrome guitar while playing Bad Motor Scooter. Not that the smoke had anything to do with my pupils being wide open...
