Western North Carolina used to be completely incomprehensible to anybody who hadn't spent time there. Get up far enough into the hills, and you may still find some pockets of that dialect. Radio and television are wiping out regional accents.Same with English, try understanding someone from deep Scotland or even Ireland sometime. I don't even follow certain British speakers especially politicians unless I really concentrate. Or being a yankee from Mass I sometimes don't always understand people from the deep south although it's more the accent than anything else.
If I can make it, that would be great. I haven't been out to a show for a very long time, and it's been even longer since I was at a show where I wasn't on stage. If you are up for it, come see our last show at the Sunset this Saturday. I will be debuting the Tbird, but will also play the bass that got me there, my L1K.
And thank you!
Possibly, but from the hair and looks I'd lean toward mid 70s. Both times I saw RCB he played a white Thunderbird most of the time and I don't recall seeing a NR like that. But obviously he did at some point.Could it be from the Rossington-Collins Band era? 1975 would definitely not make it as a gift from Cliff as Cliff was not in AC/DC then (but in Bandit IIRC) and the Cliff photo is from 1978.

He said....I had a boss from Scotland that couldn't understand his own Scottish father-in-law...

We are headlining, so there is that to consider, but there are some great musicians ahead of us.If I can make it, that would be great. I haven't been out to a show for a very long time, and it's been even longer since I was at a show where I wasn't on stage.

I remember a cat locally back in the day had a Soul Review played an Eipiphone Newport bass, more like an EB-O though...That should be fixed.
Languages drift. Isolated populations will drift many different directions. As an example, Brazilian Portuguese is considered a separate language from Portuguese. Even non-isolated populations may have different drifts.I don't know Spanish but what I learned from Fred Sanford. But I know a number of people who do and Spanish is not the same everywhere. A guy visiting from Spain had a hard time figuring out Mexican spanish. Said it was almost like a different language. True or not, I have no clue. Another friend from Cuba said that Spanish is even different on one end of the island than the other. Oddly enough Burma has about 140 dialects, most of which can't be understood by others. Many understand "Burmese," but not all. Our church has helped several families from Burma come to the states and helped many more adjust to the States, and for the longest time we couldn't figure out why many of them never interacted with each other. We thought it was a tribal thing where they just didn't like each other, There is some of that, but more often than not they were from different tribes and just couldn't communicate well. How such a "small" place could have so many languages and dialects is astounding.

This isn't a reference going back to your "film" days is it?Translated:
I washed my strawberries too quickly in soapy dishwater.
You are fortunate to not be a chalk outline...I brought up buying the NR to the wife. I said I would stop buying clothes and shoes to fund it.
Maybe when out of the hospital.
