Can someone straighten out the stories of Cliff Williams giving NRs to people like Leon and now Duck? I've heard of the Cliff/Leon story but never saw it in an article that I recall. Seems like he was giving away some choice basses or some of it's not entirely true.

Looking over prices in case I need to unload a couple basses and found this description for a VP in the classifieds.
"Classic Tbird tone -- muddy and huge. Great for pick players."
He had Chromes on it and even then I can't see a VP being called muddy.
