Peru is Crazy Town today, (actually every day) They elected a new president last year who promised to help the poor farmers and people out in the sticks make more money and have a better life etc. Of course with the war all the prices are going up here like a lot of places so they've been protesting here for a few days. Truckers actually burned some toll booths down but here in the city it's quieter but the president has declared an all day curfew to end tonight at midnight to try to stem all the protesting. So of course that riles them up even more and they're marching around the city, blowing horns and yelling "Join The fight!!!" trying to force he new president to quit, they've tried to impeach him twice already. This place is nuts, the last 4 or 5 presidents have ended up in jail or in exile. I think he just ended the curfew because of the protests that he put in place to end the protests.
Now protestors are trying to get into congress and the police aren't having any of that so hopefully this ends well.
All this means to me besides maybe it's time to run for my life
, is that I can't take my walk today.
