Thunderbird pickups? Yes. The '76-'79 were different (so-called sidewinders) and wiring was different too (when both on they were in series,) but they were humbuckers too.

That's a classy looking bass too.

I'd trade them all to keep Grady going. Doing well right now considering his age and problems. Thankful for that.

I use one of these, it has a 12AX7 tube in it, bass, mid, treble, pre gain and post gain, it does anything from light breakup to a VERY convincing Mel Schacher OD sound, not cheap but worth it, i use SVT's which of course will do that sound but will level the club at the same time, kill all the patrons and get you fired from your gig so I use these. :

Oh, no low end loss with this at all.

Gata is actually doing very well, after all the meds and a change of cat food she's gained weight and her coat is much better, she even runs around like a nut at night again.

She's a nice one, says goodnight to me every night when I go to bed and says good morning also, course the morning may be something to do with the fact she's hungry.

Latifa sleeps on the bed pretty much every night, snores often, sometimes like a sawmill which is quite funny considering her size. Quite often she will curl herself up near me as I sleep on my side in the fetal position, it's the sweetest thing. i got her an automatic feeder for her AM chow so she gets up when she likes now - I sleep badly enough!

One of my wife's Chihuahua's snores too and she's a tiny thing. Gata is fifteen, I've had her since she was about 3 months old. She has some tumors in her liver and they said she's too old to biopsy it so every day is a good one with her. She was getting very sickly looking and got very thin and her coat looked terrible so I started buying her expensive cat food (in addition to the medicine the vet put her on) which she loves and she looks a lot better now. She's bilingual and is an international traveler too.

Larry Graham is up there for me as well. Not that I can do what he did or sound anything like him.

Oh, for sure as well as a few others (Carol Kaye, James Jamerson, Paul McCartney etc) - the names I mentioned were bass-players I was most aware of as a young teen and new bass-player. Even considering Paul McCartney - he was so much more than a "bass-player" that I didn't think of him as one. I knew very little about the music world back then.

I consider him an artist who writes great songs, sings wonderfully, performs naturally, constructs great bass-lines and plays great bass. He's in a select group of musicians. (like Sting, Geddy, Scott Walker and a few others)

I remember the Walker Brothers but was not aware that Scott was a famous solo artist in England.
