Having the same problem, apologies to those that had really good posts that I couldn’t hit the like button on (Grape Ape comes to mind).
Agree, I like the look of satin finishes and the tell tale player wear they get over time.
The color was interesting but I would have called it midnight plum to avoid the foreseeable Grape ape slag. The white knobs don’t do it any favors and the weight was a red flag for me. But more than anything, I’m really just happy Gibby is tinkering around in the sandbox and offering up the one offs to the public.
For the Fedmess lovers here, I have an order coming and in the past 2 days it has moved a total of 15 miles.

Mine is in parts with a dead pickup and looks like it got dragged behind a pickup across the state of Texas, I was going to try to restore it at one point but it seemed like a waste of time, if it looked good and sounded good I may have tried.

Oh man. I'm so envious of you and at the same time glad that you saw them. I like FM too, a quirky trio which influenced Rush too (Cam Hawkins' synth stuff especially) and of course they snapped Ben Mink to the guest spot for "Signals".
I thought Max Webster had already split at that point but that happened in Memphis in April the 16th. I wonder why they didn't play those dates because they were supporting Rush again in Montreal the 27th of March.
But they supported Rush so many times from '75 to '81 that it is quite a feat not to saw them when going to a Rush concert at that period.

I did get to see Max webster one of the (many) times I saw Rush - Don't remember which tour anymore, I'm too old.
Interesting...my experience has been that TIs can be kind of bright and pretty middy--generally in a good way. I'm sure it depends on what they are on and going through. I like Fenders, but Chromes (way back) sounded scooped--big soft lows and clanky highs. Tried them several times. But I've yet to find a D'Add string I do like. I liked the sound of Cobalts...but that's one of my "issues." After some playing, my fingers get a weird sore feeling. Not the feel of the string, but from the metal. Hence being one of the initial signators of the Princess Club.
