TSC's had our last rehearsal earlier for our Easter Sunday show, the 1st of '22. We're ready. It wasn't "perfect", but we are all game-day-players - I know we will be on once the downbeat hits. Regardless of level - no-one wants to embarrass themselves right?. So I know we can provide an acceptable show - that's a given at this point. What makes it all worth while in the long run is us having a great time/having fun while doing it! That's what I'm looking forward to!

I'm going with a bass that I have 100% confidence in based on most any criteria (and.., I've used it live with TSC's before with great success) - a bass that delivers the goods every time. It's not a T-bird - but a Dano is every bit as iconic as a T-bird in every way. My '68 Coral Deluxe Bass (Dano made) is more-or-less the same bass as a '63 Danelectro Dane. Same year as the Gen1 T-bird II. Something about this bass resonates w/me.

For those of you that are smarter than me and/or are better at electronics than me, I have a question....

I'd like to set up my CP's pickup controls in such a way so that when all knobs are at "10", the pickups are essentially wired straight to the output jack (like a Blackbird).

Without the volume drop that is normal (from having two volume pots? ) when both volumes are on full.

I know I'll need a no-load tone pot (250k? 500k? It's got a 250k regular tone pot atm), but I'm not sure how to wire the volume pots to get what i want.
I suppose I could drop one of them, wire it like my Epi Blackbird, but.....I'd rather work out a way to keep both volumes.


Any ideas or suggestions?

Fidgety* Friday, trying out the Hiwatt 4x12 IR (Dr. Bonkers). A single Sennheiser 441 capture sounds very good with the bass (the IR is marketed as a guitar cab but weren't the original Hiwatt 4x12" all-purpose cabs anyway like their amps are too?)

* Is that a word? At least Nektar have a song "Fidgety Queen". It's a good one too.

EDIT: I had one o' these. I wanted to love it. Nope. FYI-it's alder, not mahogany, has the P/J pup setup, and is basically a TSO 7ender.
