An unexpected solospot from last Saturday's bar gig but I did pretty well in my opinion. It seems the dreaded bass solo works better for the player if it doesn't read in the setlist.

So this is the bass I have owned the longest since 2003. Wife got it for me for our 7th Wedding anniversary. Doesn't get played much anymore now that I'm not playing out but not going anywhere either.
Question for folks.
1. Can I get a number to join the club?
2. If you have replaced the bridge on your Tbird. Which bridge did you change to and also has it helped in making the bass easier to set up/more playable?
I loved playing this bass live. It was a visceral experience. It was like wrestling an alligator. Very R&R. Gibson Tobaccao burst with EmG PJ humbuckers. Sound guys loved this thing. However at this point it would be nice to have it a bit easier to play. Myself and professionals have always had a rough time getting this set up. 1. The Queen can assign a number when she sees your post.
2. There are fans here of the Hipshot and Babicz replacements. But the three point has its fans also. Proponents of each will tell you that set ups are easy if you know what you are doing. Personal preference seems to be the biggest factor behind bridge choice.

Wow! That's 400 bucks more than I paid for mine last year but I actually thought they were on the cheap side anyway and figured they'd go up if successful.

I'm not sure how much wiggle room there is. My rep at SW is always good and will let me know if he has or doesn't have any room with the price. With these not staying in stock, I suspect there's not much desire for them to come down any.

Grrrr… I almost clicked the button for a couple chrome bird covers… but I don’t know how many I need…

I’m trying to decide if I’m removing a bridge pickup from both my NR’s, AND both my Embassy basses… OR if I’m removing just one for my DC… if I’m just removing one…which one? Maybe a a probucker from an embassy, not sure…

so my DC is going to have a ring… and a single neck pickup, vol tone and front mounted jack…

Make it simple. Remove all Probuckers and send them to me. Then you have lots of options. Can't get much easier than that. PUPs to a 59 LP are easier to find than the 760s.

Try clicking the box with the arrow in the top right of the video to open it at Google Drive. That worked for me.

If ya think about it, on most songs we're always playing a solo. No one else is playing our line.(At least on the songs we do)

2. I prefer the Babicz. The Hipshot Supertone is less expensive and a nice bridge. I have both. I’ve found the Babicz more adjustable for intonation and string height. It comes with a shim to place underneath if needed. YMMV.

So this is the bass I have owned the longest since 2003. Wife got it for me for our 7th Wedding anniversary. Doesn't get played much anymore now that I'm not playing out but not going anywhere either.
Question for folks.
1. Can I get a number to join the club?
2. If you have replaced the bridge on your Tbird. Which bridge did you change to and also has it helped in making the bass easier to set up/more playable?
I loved playing this bass live. It was a visceral experience. It was like wrestling an alligator. Very R&R. Gibson Tobaccao burst with EmG PJ humbuckers. Sound guys loved this thing. However at this point it would be nice to have it a bit easier to play. Myself and professionals have always had a rough time getting this set up. Does this Bird have a shallow pitch neck? If so, I personally would not change out the bridge.
