A couple shots from the past few days......Plus a Thunderbird or two so we don't stray.

This is Pt. Wilson lighthouse, built in 1879. It's just north of Pt. Townsend, WA.

This is Battery Vicars, the pits held 5 inch guns and were part of an interlaced system of defensive emplacements along Washington's north coast.

This is the landward side of Battery Kinzie, a very large emplacement that held retractable 10" guns.

10" gun pit, these had a mechanism that would raise them up above the parapet so they could fire, then retract down.

Up on top of the battery, several scenes frm the movie "Officer and a Gentleman" were shot at this battery and of course around Ft. Worden and Pt. Townsend - They wanted to shoot it at Pensacola, NAS but the Navy nixed that.

And to keep us on track, here's Will with my T4.

@BklynKen and the other lefties have my respect. I tried it and it is much harder than it looks. They are certainly doing things the hard way.

Actually, I think the trouble I had playing lefty was that I assumed that skills were very transferrable from right handed to left handed. If I had gone right back to square one, I may have had more success.

I'm in good company with Jimi Hendrix, Paul McCartney, and Stuart Chatwood.

That is it - carbon/graphite ... all the same - like liquid pencil lead. It is water based but extends more than any water-borne paint. (takes much more water to clean a brush of it)... but having an applicator/brush built-in helps. Just try not to get it on a surface you don't want it on - although water soluble, it can be tenacious to remove.

It's a reminder of a not-that-distance past. But nothing compared to Normandy beach though, where war was fought man-to-man. When I was there in the late '80s - there was still bits of rusting barbed-wire on the beach.

OK, I can accept the Lightning beating the Leafs (it was close and competitive). But now the Devil Rays beat the Jays? Have some mercy! Isn't it bad enough with our winters?

The Jays may have been depressed about the Leafs?

It's a reminder of a not-that-distance past. But nothing compared to Normandy beach though, where war was fought man-to-man. When I was there in the late '80s - there was still bits of rusting barbed-wire on the beach.

Exactly - I think even if you meant that as a joke, it exactly describes the whinny complaining bitches in America who have never had a war on our shores.

All over eBay. I love how it presents as both guitar shielding and snail guard. It pretty well all does, but make sure the adhesive is conductive so you don't have to solder all the pieces together.

It's cheaper if called "snail guard" ...

And still the people of Normandy paint their roofs red, white, and blue. They have not forgotten. I was there around 95 with a client whose father was rescued by the French and hidden in Normandy so the Nazis wouldn't find him. He visits that family anytime he is there.

Very Cool Area. WE have been up in that Area and stayed in Discovery Bay. If you haven't been to Finn River Cidery you will have to check it out. Nice Music Venue Covered with seating for Eating and Beverages. Located in Chimacum on the road to Port Townsend.

Finally found a decent pic of Joe Perry's 12-string Hamer bass. It's not a usual 12-string with 4x3 arrangement but a doubled Bass VI.
So it's most likely octaves for E A D G and unisons for B and high E. Like a 12-string guitar one octave lower. Very cool.
