Right. Since it's Memorial Day Weekend, may I assume you-and others in Thunderbird Club-are celebrating by buying a new mattress, major appliance, vehicle, or Thunderbird in honor of our deceased veterans?
(There may be a touch of sarcasm in that question)

We seem to have the knack to make things about ourselves. In this case, a gratefully solemn day turned into party in the back yard day. "Oh, and why don't we work on Monday again?" It's a long weekend with more time off and I get that (I'm going to hopefully enjoy the extra time as well in some way), but most under 40 couldn't explain why there is extra time off.

I remember my real dad (actually step), talking about being on the front lines in Korea and they would often count the planes going across the line and later count how many came back. Often it was a smaller number.

Earlier versions had 3.0 6 cyl, same as Jeep.
Also had V8 version.

It’s only a 327 in the engine compartment, you could probably fit a couple of groupies in there. In fact word has it there’s already one fan in there.

The 327 was a great engine. I had it in one of my corvettes, wound up nice and fast. Plus this one is a 350hp 1966 Vette engine, plenty of power for the nomad and at todays gas prices (bumping close to $7/gal here in SoCal) it might not suck up as much gas as a 400+ cuin big block.

It's a great looking, ultra cool car. But for the ~$75K, I'll keep my 'gigmobile' and buy a lotta gas @ ~29mpg and have room for amp(s), PA, duffel(with mics, cables, etc.), and this old thing.

I'm always glad we here in Washington State just don't have the vast assortment of creepy crawlies that are alltoo commonplace in certain parts of the country - and then there's Australia.
