Jeff Beck is as much a car guy as Billy Gibbons. For a large portion of the 80s, he hated the music being made so instead of recording, he went back to working on cars.

Their used to be a three piece local band in my area, the bassist/lead singer used two SVT heads with 4 810 SVT cabs cabs and the guitarist used two 100 Marshalls with one 4 x 12 cab for each, this in clubs. The soundman had the longest snake I've ever seen
, they were good though, didn't hurt my ears, I posted this recently hopefully it wasn't here, if it was.......
Likely me, but then found a local 2/2014 CP for $400 including the original case.

yep - for me out isn't about technique... it's about emotive expression - a unique voicing unlike any other guitarist.

Yep, a '60s vintage Harmony hollow-body. They are climbing into the upper range of "asking price", once being very affordable. Her's is missing the white "batwing" pg that came on it.
She could make a cigar-box bass sound awesome.

Similar/related but not the same. Geddy always double tracked his parts. One clean channel and one drive channel. Rick-o-sound worked for him...
Interesting.....my white one, built Dec. 2019, weighs the same - 8.998 lbs.
That seems remarkably consistent, especially for Gibson/Epiphone

Exactly how it is most effective as a bass track. Having two different bass players however relegates them as two different voices. Or should...
During the 80s I wondered why 38 Special had two drummers. Then I didn't think about it for a long time. But this makes me wonder again why 38 Special had two drummers.
