I get it. Kind of looks like someone messed up or something fell off.Everyone to their own bag, I really dislike that headstock. Dunno why exactly, but it turns me off.

I couldn't go the slab (early Pbasses and later Teles) either, but the 2nd gen Pbass with contoured bodies are fantastic.same here, never a fan of the slab body or headstock….really dig tele guitars though, probably more of a sound thing..

Sorry, my bad. That was a McMoron I saw.
Some new band with up and comers?
That has to be one of the best albums ever. I liked Beck's playing much better back then. His later solos are a little too out there for me and don't particularly sound very musical at times. I don't know how Bogert and Appice aren't as famous as Beck. I know there's that whole star with guitar thing going on, but those guys are every bit the players Beck was. I would even rank Bogert above Beck. (Heresy to some I know.) He plays such unexpected parts that just fit perfectly and....and don't sound like he's trying to play unexpected parts to stand out as unexpected parts, if that makes sense. He makes me want to play bass and give up at the same time.
Horse racing.
But code for underworld figures, hit men, race fixers etc
Schwinn lift kit?
I'll never quit loving this band............Fraser might be all of 20 at this point, that big woofie sound he's getting out of the EB3 and that (%$#*&*@) pile of Marshalls. Just makes me all Sproingky. Probably one in my future.
Which set of EMGs was that?thanks Roger, EMGs…

How to beat the slobbers out of drum heads!

At first glance, saw an "Woodstock 69" aesthetic, then I read the description, it's "Isle of Wight".
By the way never heard this band, they are cool. I like to discover these "new" stuff, like the 50's - 70's type.
Incredible band, listen to as much of their music as you can - Andy Fraser, their bassist was a gifted, insightful player as were all the members of that band. I've posted this video before, but I love this song, Fraser has a great bass solo and gets a lot chords in as well, yet there's so much "air" and groove.
Another big cross-pollinator was Bill Graham. He would book the top rock/pop/folk/jazz acts on the same night. There's a funny story about The Grateful Dead having Miles open for them at the Fillmore. (!!!) They didn't want to go on after Miles performed - and I don't blame them. Kind of Blue was the pinnacle of "modern" Jazz at that point. To most Jazz advocates - it's probably considered one of the most influential LP's of all time.
And then Miles pioneered Acid-Jazz (not the inappropriately named '90s Acid Jazz...) ... I mean - Mohammad Ali meets Jimi Hendrix meets Miles meets James Brown meets Tim Bogert and the Vanilla Fudge/Cactus Acid Jazz!
Kick-Äss Jazz.
I think Tim and Carmine were 'appreciated' by many bass-players & drummers of our era. Balls-to-the-walls Rock&Rollers.![]()
