Thunderbird Club

I've been really disappointed with my pedalboard set up for a bit, my Boss GE-7 EQ was more hiss than EQ and my Plumes fuzz pedal never really gave me the tone I was looking for. I bit the bullet and bought a Darkglass Microtubes X Ultra and oh baby! The T'bird sounds like rolling thunder of doom with this thing. So if anyone is in the market for a Boss EQ and or a EarthQuaker Plumes fuzz pedal......LOL

L&M now carry Dark Glass. When they have both the vintage and the modern in stock, I plan to so a side by side comparison... Curiosity more than anything as I am still very happy with the EHX HotWax

Very sad today. I had everything on my CP torn down so I could oil the FB, change the foam out on the pickups so I could get them lower, did the final compound polish on the chip repair, cleaned the entire bass and bridge(intentionally took out the saddles). I was ready for new EBCF's. Opened that package and...

I love the Germans..my GF is a German national. We plan on moving to Berlin full time in about 2 years once my youngest finished college.

I spent two or three months in Germany in 1981, I did an album in a studio called Dieter Dierks Studios, The Scorpions were his big band, I think he managed them or at least they recorded here. Very nice studio for the time, was a double, two bands recorded there at the same time, two 24 track machines in two different studios with IIRC more tracks available in a mobile which I never saw. It had its own hotel and everything, the album never got picked up and the producer never paid the studio so no copies, (sucked anyway ) although there are a few lo fi copies somewhere but I don't have one. I actually saw real flanging done, the engineer had two 2 (I think 2 track) track machines going and touched one lightly with his forearm to get it slightly behind the other one to create the out of phase swish, very interesting, it took him several times to get it right.
I saw the street where the Star Club used to be.
But yes it was a very nice country, people were nice, most spoke pretty good english and at least at the time there were a lot of underground clubs, it was kind of beatnick-y, neat country.
