Just watched this doc on the film "Wings of Desire" by Wim Wenders - for me a really important film, I saw it new/in the theaters 3 times. Very familiar with WW's earlier films - and Bruno Ganz is one of my favorite screen-actors. For anyone versed in this film - a really informative peek into how artists create.

I knew (and loved/love) everything on that first video except the song at ~16:00. What is that?
Never heard the second video's song before.

I'm sure someone already answered you but just in case it was "She is Still a Mystery to Me" One of their last hits from their fourth album, the same album with "Six O'Clock"

love Deutschland!! cool, cool place….ironically feels more american than great britain….
Spent a lot of time there on monthly week long business trips for about a decade. Most of the time in Darmstadt, Kroenburg, Schwalbach, and Frankfurt areas and surrounding cities. Lots of great night life and beautiful countryside. I will say, that I ate more meals with potatoes there than I ever have anywhere else. I think Germany has perfected the art of creative potato dishes, quite literally three meals a day every day for a week and never fixed the same way twice. Very friendly locals as well.
Wish I had taken in some of the music scene while I was there, never seemed to have the time for that.

yep, knudles and kartoffelnsalat and on and on….sauerbraten is one of my favorites…..lived in luxembourg 10 miles away from the Porta Nigra roman ruins in Trier for 2 years (have a 28 year old daughter there and.been all over germany (at least 20 times) as I was doing quite a bit in the automotive sector (Daimler Chrysler in Berlin and Bremen at the time) Bavaria (Munchen) and the Rhine area are my favorites but have a soft spot for Hamburg as well…wish I could have seen pre-war Leipzig, capital of Saxony but, oh well……

Ah Sauerbraten - I know how to make it quite well. My mother was born in Germany in '32, lived through the war (Yes, she has stories) and came to the US in '52, I am mostly German.

Mom grew up in a little town called Annweiler am Trifels near the border with France in the Rhineland Pfalz.
This is the castle Trifels that sits above the town.

My late Aunt had a nice place in town.

This is Rothenberg, which we happened to visit last time, 2018.

Of course my visit to Frankfurt got me visitation to the bass collection of Uwe Hornung......

As others have said, the literal definition is it’s a potent little firecracker. However, I’ve always assumed the reason that term was put in the song was because of its double meaning. Because this site is rated G I’ll have to PM you with a more detailed response. So for now, just think about any parents worst fears about their wild child teenage daughter and you’ll be close to the getting the meaning of the song.
Yep. That’s the meaning of it in the song.

Ever get treated to the Bavarian "special beer" during Lent? Maybe I'll leave the "story" of how that came to be for the GTG. No idea if it's true, but it is reasonable given the era and funny.
