Yes. The Silverburst and the white ones had different pickups. Boost the mids and treble, back off the bass a little and they have a sweet grind with stainless rounds.
They are heavy, unwieldy, and difficult to carry around.
Neither did I until @Nocturnal (IIRC)turned me on to them. I'm not certain they still make them, but I've got mine so I don't check anymore.
Somehow I found two of those cases used locally years ago. I think they are around 58 inches long? The wide angled bottom section made it difficult to fit in the small car I owned at the time. When I sold my Bach NR the guy didn't want the case for two reasons. It wouldn't fit in his small car very well and he thought the coffin shape is cheesy. I thought he should take it to keep the bass safe til he made it home, then he could have given it away. Since he didn't take the case I donated it to my friend/tech for a 12 string bass he built.
It looks like an Epi Classic Pro with chrome hardware. Looks awesome!!

Well and truly inspired by the Joe Jackson song "Nineteen forever." The first lyric came to mind after re-watching the final episode of the original 1980's series of "Knight Rider" and coming across some (as it turns out, FALSE) news that David Hasselhoff died.
I took it from there, making it a song about how pop culture will always have a lasting legacy on our lives.
The second verse is about Kurt Cobain who I heard being described as "Gen X's John Lennon." Which is why I refer to him as a Blond haired John Lennon in the lyrics. In 1994 when Cobain died, I actually became 18.
I also wanted to make this a showcase for my two most recent builds. As my green solid is on the Rythm tracks and the red one is used for the leads.
I don't know what the pickups are like, but they seem to look to be close to the original, positions which is huge in my book.

Did something I talk about never thinking about doing--trying different strings on the '64. I've had a few different sets on it over the years. Used to have Rotos on it for years. Tried Infeld's and it was magic. Never looked at another set again for it. But, since I had a couple sets of SIT Power Steels.....what the heck, why not. Went to rehearsal and I was impressed how great it sounded. Maybe Infeld magic great. If the Infeld's are a 10, the SITs are easily a 9. The Infeld's do last a very, very long time for Rounds, but at $45 compared to the SITs.... If nothing else I have a fantastic second option if wanted. Might even be worth trying their NPS set for the heck of it.

I own a motorcycle which a reviewer once described as "an aesthetic anomaly." That is... a very kind way to put it. 15 years ago when these first came out I flinched every time I saw one and said I could never. Well.
Thanks. I really like it. I’ll keep an eye on it. They stopped making them a few years ago. I wonder if that’s why.

Well deserved high praise. Everyone knows all too well how picky I can be with getting the right sound, and the SITs were certainly impressive. They sounded good at home (often a bad sign it seems), and expected them to simply be "OK." So when they sounded great with fingers/pick, both pickups or just neck, I was pleasantly surprised how good it sounded. Things can sound good one day and not as good another, so I'll leave them on and let them settle and see how it goes.
It's neck-through, so probably is a Classic Pro. Looks like mine - Internet says it's a made in Indonesia, March 2013 model......
