Well, well, well ... look what came up for sale on a local network in my city.
I've never seen one for sale around here; I can say it's a rarity.
If I had the money, I´d buy it and probably refinish in some other color.

Even because, I'm waiting for delivery of an EPiphone EB-0. So my pocket is empty this week, but daddy will join the short scale club.
Wish me luck.

T-bird IV Bolt-on neck?

T-bird IV Bolt-on neck?

99,9% probably yes.

______________

In Brazil, prices are very complicated to convert to U$, because;
- U$ 1 = BRL 5.2 or R$ 1 = U$ 019
- we are taxed at 60% (if imported)

So, doing simple math, this local used TBird, is advertised for R$ 3300, equals to almost U$ 640.

'65 Teisco Del Rey EB-200 short-scale

Fella of mine, member of a local forum, last year, or in 2020 refinished a Teisco, it was beautiful.
If interested, more photos here.

For historical factor (the 60s), I´d easily have one.

Slapped the black back on today. Kind of wondering why I took it off now!

Anyone know why my pics are not very clear? Samsung G10+ uploaded to google. From there I copy and paste. Lens seems clean so that's not it.
Light exposure maybe? I'm not an expert in photography, so take that with a grain of salt. Maybe you should've pulled up those things on your windows (don't know how they're called) to let in more light?

Those are really nice - referred to as the 'shark fin' Teisco. They go for a higher price than the EB-200.

Which I did in the waters off of Corpus Christie. I was about neck deep in water when I saw the balloon shaped Man of War body float by me about 3 feet away. Ten seconds later I was in agonizing pain across my back, chest and neck. Best I can describe it - each tentacle (which can be several feet long) is like a string of bee stings with a stinger about every half inch. I had a line of three tentacles that covered my entire back, two across my chest and stomach and one that completely wrapped around my neck. Probably the equivalent number of stings (not necessarily toxicity) as a couple hundred bees. Baking Soda and salt water paste packed down over the stings and let to dry in the sun for an hour or so draws a lot of the poison out. Not fun, but at least it wasn’t deadly (for me). Back in the water later that afternoon.

The old “Fat Finger”. I have used them and they do in fact make a difference. The funny thing is that on some basses it just moves the dead spot from the 5th fret on the G string to closer to the 12th fret.

The Gateway Computer Bird.
I wonder how many here will get that obscure reference.
WD40 also works wonders on jellyfish stings.
