Thunderbird Club

Strange, never heard of that brand. Is it defunct now? Kinda looks like a cross between a weirdly shaped Jazz bass and a Jaguar with Rickenbacker's neck pickups.

Teisco was one of the major guitar/bass producers from Japan in the 'guitar-boom' '60s. Mostly short scale basses to appeal to new young players. Many people (including me!) started out on basses from Japan then. Their designs were based on top brand makers like Fender, Gibson, Guild, Burns and Vox, but not clones like the later '70s models were. The Fender Jazzmaster/Jaguar body was the most referenced.

After getting the EB-200 6yrs ago, it inspired me to make a few bass's referencing it in 34" and 32" scale.

L to R : '65 Teisco EB-200 / Teiscobird I - with mid '60's vintage EB-200 mahogany body, Epi Goth neck and Guild RI Darkstar pu / T-45bird - with '80s Peavey T-45 pu & Epi Goth neck/basswood body / "XD" - 32" scale with '60s vintage Teisco pu's/basswood body / Teisco Bluebird - T-bird pu's, roasted-ash body & Epi Custom Shop neck / and Teisco Redbird II.

...and a couple years ago I traded a bass for this mid '60s Teisco Del Rey NR-1 with pro-modded lined ebony fb. I added the Guild RI Darkstar bridge pu.

Slapped the black back on today. Kind of wondering why I took it off now!

Anyone know why my pics are not very clear? Samsung G10+ uploaded to google. From there I copy and paste. Lens seems clean so that's not it.
The black on black looks great!
See if you have a resolution setting on your Samsung, or see if there is a goofy resolution limit on google (i.e. maybe free downloads are less resolution than a paid subscription). Interestingly, when I click on just about anybody else’s posted pics the image pops up in full size on my screen. Yours doesn’t do that, it’s no change, so I suspect either your phone or google is limiting the pixel count.

Forgot to post yesterday, late night.

So postin' now as "have a nice week" ;)
Very sweet! And a nice clear picture as well.

WD40 also works wonders on jellyfish stings.
Hadn’t heard that before. I’m actually more likely to have WD40 in my car at the beach than baking soda, so good to know.

It's an old trick in Mexico. Theory is that the fish oil in WD40 acts like a solvent extracting the poison. I know it works as my youngest was asking us to take her to the hospital after a bad sting, but about 10 minutes after applying the WD40, she was out of pain.

Light exposure maybe? I'm not an expert in photography, so take that with a grain of salt. Maybe you should've pulled up those things on your windows (don't know how they're called) to let in more light?
No doubt that wasn't ideal, but all my pics seem to turn out somewhat unclear when posted. Maybe I need to look into them being saved as high quality (which I thought they were).

Thanks! I'll look around on the phone and google.

Square pole pieces! Got those my “Norma” guitar.

They are very good sounding pu's and appeared on many Teisco related brands. My EB-200 w/old flats (on it when I bought it - med blue threaded ends) can nail that pillowy '60s bass tone as good or better than any P-bass.

Google settings are set to original quality and the phone seems normal as well. Nothing odd. I downloaded this from google and uploaded it to TB. Can it be expanded? Thanks.

This seems some better. Lighting? But no flash. But is not really clear like some others here.

Yes, expands nicely when clicked on.
The pic looks sharper as well. Now let’s talk about that glue joint on the chair back, it needs some work. :D

This and the other pics look great. Black-on-black looks great on Fenders I think. I had a Jazz like that. I'm also a sucker for Antigua.

My sons band played a outdoor festival outside of Skaneateles NY yesterday and I was invited up to play a song. It was a great family day and father son bonding. Hot as hell I'm glad I only had to play one song! Despite the heat my no shorts rule held.
