Say hello to the Driscoll family. My SIL went to school with the "kids."

Interesting, but not particularly important if you come in contact with one/them.
Which I did in the waters off of Corpus Christie. I was about neck deep in water when I saw the balloon shaped Man of War body float by me about 3 feet away. Ten seconds later I was in agonizing pain across my back, chest and neck. Best I can describe it - each tentacle (which can be several feet long) is like a string of bee stings with a stinger about every half inch. I had a line of three tentacles that covered my entire back, two across my chest and stomach and one that completely wrapped around my neck. Probably the equivalent number of stings (not necessarily toxicity) as a couple hundred bees. Baking Soda and salt water paste packed down over the stings and let to dry in the sun for an hour or so draws a lot of the poison out. Not fun, but at least it wasn’t deadly (for me). Back in the water later that afternoon.

Quite possibly, mass affects vibration. Leo Fender was aware of this and used a small C clamp on the headstock to tune out dead spots to demonstrate this.
The old “Fat Finger”. I have used them and they do in fact make a difference. The funny thing is that on some basses it just moves the dead spot from the 5th fret on the G string to closer to the 12th fret.

I ran across this refinished 76 Bird on eBay. Interesting choice for a refin.
1976 Gibson Thunderbird Bass | eBay
The Gateway Computer Bird.
I wonder how many here will get that obscure reference.

Have a great show, Chucky!

Was an earthquake happening when he took the pictures?
He may have been using his old Flip Phone from 1997. Not sure if he knows you shouldn’t flip and shoot a photo at the same time. He’s much better with the new phone, at least you can tell what color the Tbird is. ;)
It’s safe to say GP’s photo skills are legendary in this club, much like @JJR58 but in a slightly different direction. :D

Hmmm... tone headstock. Do larger tuning machines improve tone as well? Tone tuners?

sounds good to me...
