Thunderbird Club

I would as well if going more for a muscle car instead of just a big car. Superbird would be my first and really expensive choice.

And I could apparently get my wife to lay on the fin.

me too. If I were going to buy (price not an issue) old muscle car, it would be a super bird (but probably in the powder blue or yellow).

.......

My cousin had one of these monsters in the same color. Even this beast looks over the top stylish compared to modern most offerings. Even the back bumper looks good and thought out.

:thumbsup::thumbsup:

.....I miss the cars that made my Suburban seem small. :(

The '61 Caddy I had was wider (by a not-insignificant amount), longer (by quite a bit), had more room in the passenger area, and weighed (almost) as much.
And had a trunk nearly big enough to fit a Smart Car in.....

(just like this one, but - perhaps unsurprisingly - not nearly as pretty)

@blastoff99 Yeah. Don't be a stranger; we already have stranger covered...

:)

- If you want a Tbird II in the Reverse body style at a reasonable cost look no further than a vintage (1990 or older) Greco. They sound every bit as good (if not better) than the Gibson and look nearly identical, usually found for a price of $1200 or less.

- In the NR body shape your best bet might be a BaCH, but good luck finding one, very few made and they rarely come up for sale.

- As far as making your own - it can be done for under $2000 if you don’t mind a bolt on Fender neck. Or for a bit more money you could contact a Luthier like @Dadagoboi or @JIO to see if they can make you a NR inspired masterpiece.

- The other NR option is obviously one of the new Gibson models used for a bit over $1500 or new for around $2000. Those that have them claim they are very good sounding and very near the originals as well. But you’d need to remove a pup and fill and repaint.
If you like the `21 NR, and the goal is to get the same with a single pickup, option 3 makes the most sense (to me).

I agree. I like most colors, don't care for the burnt orange, or whatever it was called. The green looks good as well.

These are the perfect transportation match for Thunderbirds.

I wanted to see what you all thought of this
Don't worry about what a group of strangers on the internet think. If you like it, rock out to it.

For reasons I can't (or won't) explain I like all these:

despite also liking:

some might say some of Geddy's best vocals

In the end, a good song is a good song, and talented musicians are a pleasure to listen to.
