Thunderbird Club

Does it intonate? If so, forget about it and pretend you never noticed it.
Well enuff. Except for the occasional solo, I spend very little time above 10th fret, the rest is pretty close(according to the tuner). It was just a bit shocking to discover that after having owned the bass for 49 years.

I wouldn’t sweat it, from the pics it looks like just the claw has been relocated, if so that won’t effect intonation at all. About the only thing it would effect is OCD attacks, which I have and fortunately it appears you don’t.

Well, my M6 is starting to go down the sh!tter on me.
My biggest headache now is deciding on which direction i go.
I know i can ship it off to Mesa.
But i just don't trust the whole shipping back and forth thing. Then there's the cost.
Which i'm in no position right now to afford.
Repair, or go another direction when i can?

Play Cabana Boy one more time and maybe @Chucky Stiletti will work his magic. Just put it in the overhead luggage compartment ;)

Donny, if you post that burgundy bird pic one more time I’m gonna move in! ;)

I kept thinking something was different on the new NR. The pickguard is larger/closer to the bottom side of the bass than the originals and the "point" by the neck pickup is wider and shorter (given the neck pickup is closer the bridge on the originals. Raises another question as to "why"?
Same pickup spacing as all the modern Thunderbirds?

told you to bring it with you;), heavy? what's it not doing? surely you can find a qualified tech in NYC....with ALL due respect to Mesa folks, never been a fan...could have been operator error but I could never really dial in a decent tone....this may sound biased but guitar amp manufacturers should stick to guitar amps and conversely, bass amp manufacturers should do the same imho...
