My all time favorite group is Chicago, in all their iterations, but there's a coupla their offerings I can do without. One which was a fairly big hit: "I'm a Man".
At the other end of the spectrum, I like almost all ZZTop.
Never saw Basie, did see Ellington.

I was never crazy about their version of "I'm a Man" either, I did like most of their early stuff though, in fact I have CTA on cassette here now. I thought Peter Cetera was a great player, one of the best pick-style players I've ever heard, never mind singing like a bird while playing those parts. I like ZZ Top top but don't own any of their stuff, I should remedy that.

So, I have a question on the knob layout. I see on reverb a "brand new" NR with this same knob configuration and a "used" 2021 with all the knobs in a straight line. Did the owner of the used one swap the jack and tone knob? Best guess?

Yes.

most likely the owner swapped them but we had reported sightings here of the straight line format from the factory. But it's Gibson so some quirks apply.

I like some WS, some Bob and some Bruce, can't say I like all their stuff and am not a raving fan of any of them but I'd rather listen to any of them than a lot of other stuff, real drums, probably not a lot of autotune, etc. I do think "Born to Run" was and is an almost perfect song though. Seger started out in the 60's with the Bob Seger System and had a hit in 1968 with "Rambling Gambling Man".

I much prefer WS - White Snake to WS - White Stripes. And since hair metal went out of style, I don't really listen to White Snake very often anymore.

I like minimalist music, I liked the way Meg(?) played behind the beat, intentionally or not. . White Snake were good too.

I don't think that there are any ZZ Top songs that I would turn off. Even through the weird period after they took over a year off or the synth-pop era.

Basie and Ellington were two of the six or so artists my Dad would listen to. I think he went to see Basie.

My 67 is straight line. I'll assume(yeah, I know)that's "correct".

Evidence on the QEW is that PQ plates impede traffic during rush hour...

Edit to add - not as bad as the Manitoba plates.

Which is also amusing since howinnahell could you play with yer thumb down there? "Tug bar", maybe. Useless? Pretty much. I didn't have my custom PG drilled for the original tug bar, which is now a thumb rest on my Epiphone EB-0.

I saw Basie a year or two after the Count died, they were led by Frank foster the tenor when I saw them, they were phenomenal and completely changed my bad attitude about jazz.

Glad you're enjoying it! LAF is an understatement on that Berg cab, I A/B'd it side by side with an Ampeg 810 and the Berg just buried the peg, not even close.

There are speed bumps all over the place here, the natives call them the equivalent of "break your shocks" in Spanish.
