My Sweetwater rep left me a message today reminding me about the big holiday sale. I don't really NEED anything, but when has that stopped me?

You're 100% correct. I only mention it because Seattle seems to be a great place to live.
I love Seattle.
I'd move there in a heartbeat if I could.
You've got friends that will help, bring Roger too.
Meanwhile, I just love this green stuff, off to the 909 for dinner now!

My rep isn't like that. He knows that when I need something, I'll give him a call. Otherwise he lets me alone because he knows not to bother me. He's made some decent commissions off me over the years and the relationship works. My Sweetwater rep left me a message today reminding me about the big holiday sale. As I will be in a few years. Both subjects are a long story.
I will say I have no interest in law, in any capacity anymore.
I'm so done with it.

That looks pretty good. They might have been nickel plated.Starting to clean up the Music Man Sixty Five. I'm thinking the metal end caps aren't chrome but something else that didn't start life as a mirror finish. Pictures aren't great. Went from brownish to silver gray.

That's one thing we don't have here. Well, right here anyway.Awesome! We have California black bears visiting our property every night as they are desperate for calories before winter. We've done everything required to keep them away from the house and have not had an encounter. I hope to never fight a bear.
That's what I was thinking. That looks pretty good. They might have been nickel plated.
I know it's tempting and difficult not to do, but unless we can make some needed adjustments or learn an important lesson, looking back generally causes more problems than it fixes.I'm not sure I've shared this before. I worked as an in-house attorney for Allstate from 2000 to 2010. They closed my office and offered to transfer me to Seattle to co-manage the legal office there. I had to decline for family reasons. But looking back, it is one of the missed opportunities in a long career. Who knows what would have happened had I accepted the offer.
Some of you guys live in places with way too many rules. That might be illegal.*
* Except in California where it probably is illegal**
** And certainly illegal in Canada and would result in many years in jail.
So you were high?Just got back from a gig. I was subbing (standing in) for friends' party band playing current and classic hits. Mostly terrible music but fun to play, people enjoyed it and the band sounded good so can't and should not complain and I'm not. Good wage too.
Used a T-bird of course. Good PA and a sound guy so I went straight to desk from my pedal board and just brought my small Hartke kickback combo as a monitor. The Suncoast EQ worked great so that definitely stays on the pedal board. The great bass sound explains my expression on the other pic, I definitely wasn't as drunk as I look like. Or drunk at all. Honest.

My dad used to use a different middle initial whenever he was subscribing or responding to something new (pre internet days). Then if he started getting unexpected junk mail or solicitations addressed to that name he knew exactly who was selling off his contact info.True, but you can choose how much information you put out there, and how accurate it is. It can be fun! I have a Facebook "Birthday" and then I have my real birthday.
I just traded a Fender bass I haven't really used in the last ten years for a Tbird inspired bass. Does that count?I hear it's non-7ender Friday

That's an understatement! We used to live in the mountains 25 miles outside of Boulder Colorado bordering on the Roosevelt National Forest. Apparently, at the time we lived there it was one of the locations in the US where "problem" bears from Yellowstone were relocated to. These are bears that had become accustomed to scavenging food from trash cans and camp sites and weren't afraid of people. On more than one occasion we had to call a local game warden to come in and take care of a grizzly that was overly aggressive.Black bears are timid and will run from you. Brown bears and Grizzly bears are to be feared. I once ran into a black bear while I was out running*. I turned and ran the other direction and the bear did the same.
* Many years ago, when my knees allowed for marathoning and living in the middle of nowhere resulting in a need for time consuming hobbies.

Water can be a solvent. She was not melting in water; she was dissolving.
Terrible that Hollywood can't get chemistry right. Takes me right out of the moment.![]()
I'll take a look at mine and get back to later today. IIRC they are nickel plated (possibly over copper or brass on pot metal).Starting to clean up the Music Man Sixty Five.
