I look at buying one, but when with the VP instead. The new Embassy's are much better balanced than the 60s versions.
And you went to Cal (I think)? I only went to Irvine. But our Humanities/History profs made sure we knew how things worked in the real world. ZOT!They bribed me with a no interest for 2 years deal on an Ampeg Micro VR rig...and discounted it about $300...I think I've wasted the discount on phone calls to fraud departments.![]()
Hey, if I have to listen to that song (which I'm not fond of) I might as well make it a bit more interesting…
…beats the snot out of the WS version.
yep….there's that weird pic with the optical illusion (?)……is the VP that much bigger than the Gen 1? did the Gen 1 shrink in it's old age……
I don't recall hearing of problems like that. A little something once in a while as you might expect. Hope you get it sorted out so it's enjoyable to play.Mine came with the truss rods jammed in and I hard a hard time getting it set up, the strings were pretty much laying right on the neck. fretwork uneven, I should have sent it back. I'm going to bring it to a luthier if I ever get back.
It has a huge headstock and that throws everything off as far as proportion goes. It's longer, but I think the body is generally about the same. About.yep….there's that weird pic with the optical illusion (?)……is the VP that much bigger than the Gen 1? did the Gen 1 shrink in it's old age……
although larger, the BaCh seems closer to the real article….

True, but you can choose how much information you put out there, and how accurate it is. It can be fun! I have a Facebook "Birthday" and then I have my real birthday. We're not the customer, we're the product .

Going to have to consider cutting you off the next time I bring 805And you went to Cal (I think)? I only went to Irvine. But our Humanities/History profs made sure we knew how things worked in the real world. ZOT!
I'm with you there. I grew up in the industry. My brain wasn't wired the same as my rocket scientist Dad's, so I didn't go that route. But I wouldn't hesitate to get in and go for the ride.i'd go in a heartbeat. Not brave so much as just hearing space calling my whole life.
I have a pickup just like that in my parts collection. It all depends on the neck. That is what replaced the Rivoli once Epiphone moved production to Japan.
Pickups are nice and clear with rounds and still thumpy. 30.5 inch scale
350 is not a bad price if everything is fully functional. 300 better considering what's missing.
Jump on it now. If you don't want it, I'll buy it from you. Serious Willy. What's this mess precious?

Yep. And he's had an up and down relationship with them (Powell) since. They've been able to at least be cordial enough to put together the 30 disc boxed set of his years with them. My fascination with Thunderbirds began with him. I was in the 8th or 9th grade. As I've said, a bass hero of mine.Pretty sure he wasn't. He quit in 1980 after "Just Testing" album and tour after the band wanted to bring in a lead vocalist. Stupid them.

There were bridge installation problems on earlier ones from '17, '18 that have made me shy away from used ones. They corrected the problem, but you need to be sure the bridge is properly aligned if you buy a used one.I don't recall hearing of problems like that. A little something once in a while as you might expect. Hope you get it sorted out so it's enjoyable to play.
