I have a reconed D-140 in my B-15S, much better than the original Eminence which I usually like.

I always enjoy the clips from that show. Killer Kane was another great Thunderbird player. He sadly passed away shortly after that concert.

I had known that but just read about a few days ago, he went into the hospital 22 days after the concert for fatigue and died two hours later from Leukemia.

Honestly, I didn't even notice that bass........
their website said they *had* a 4001 and I was checking to see it was still there - gone. The 8 string caught my eye, didn't even know that Alembic was there. D'oh!

That "4003" was either a 4001 or it had a changed pickguard. 1980 to sometime in 1984 they all had split pickguards and they made 4001's (or were left overs) until about 1985. The only difference was the reversed the truss rods and you had to adjust the neck by taking off the pickguard which is why they made them two piece.

Well here it is. Made in the same Indonesian facility as my VP Bird. Under $500. Mahogany body , hardened Maple neck, ebony fingerboard, Seymour Duncan smb‑4d pup ,5 bolt neck, 2 vol , 1 Tone configuration . Body style is growing on me. Anyone here familiar with Ebony fretboards?

I've got a Fender TF fretless with an ebony neck, hard as nails, I've got Rotos on it and have had no problems with it at all.
