Do any of you guys have an unmodified Epiphone Thunderbird IV (stock) ? If so, could whoever has it record a video of playing it clean? Without any pedals or anything that modifies the stock sound of the bass? I've tried looking in Youtube, but I can't tell if the sound is clean stock signal from the bass or if they're messing around with something that can't be seen and they're not telling about it, I don't trust Youtube bass channels/reviewers. Thanks in advance.

I'm guessing using you low-intelligence neighbor as bait is out of the question.

I admit I'm always a little amused to see bass players do that moderate to slight vibrato thing on fretted basses when it can't possibly be heard even by themselves. I get the technique is of some value on fretless, but it kind of cracks me up to see guys getting that liquid hand thing going when no one can hear it. Certainly not if there is one other instrument playing. I don't know if it was something learned and they just do it out of habit or often because it looks cool (more guitar playerish) to some. I watched a couple videos this past week and guys were going to town with the vibrato and I wanted to talk to the TV and say, "You know no one can hear all that extra action you're really getting into don't you?"

But it satisfies our inner guitard

Stompbox Sunday. I assembled all (OK, most of them) my "leftover pedals" to this board as I also had a spare Voodoo Lab power supply.
Mainly for crazier stuff with guitar but should work for bass too. For crazy things at least. Definitely for the synth.
It has 2 output options, both available in stereo too and at the same time if needed. The Hardwire DL-8 Delay splits the signal to the Strymon leslie and the Digiverb stereo reverb (which has the reverse reverb among other good things plus a switchable cab sim which means I can run it straight to the recording system). The big pedal is the legendary Shin-Ei Companion fuzz/wah. It's monstrous and the Jacques Tube Blower after it keeps it in check if needed.
The Ibanez L series Bi-Mode Chorus can be easily swapped for my other L or 10 series Ibanez pedals and there's also power available for extra pedals placed in front of the board.
It's a testing platform too and, most importantly, a perfect excuse to store a copious amounts of effect pedals I can't put in my main gigging board:

Question for the tech heads. I just purchased a bass with a single Passive seymour duncan smb‑4d which I've read is a common replacement pup for a MM Stingray. The question is ( drumroll please) If it has 2 volumes and one tone is it wired in series ? Description says one volume for each coil . Will I still get a Humbucker tone ? Information, comments and opinions welcome.
