Just an FYI, the Fluke measures 3.2 ohms on the 215M cab. That makes sense as the amp was set for 200w at 4 ohms. Good to know if I ever use it with the MM as it has a switch for 4 or 8 ohms.

They played the Paradise in Boston about that time or maybe 1978 and a guitarist friend of mine saw them, Peterson used 3 SVT's which impressed the hell out of me.

Because 900 watts is better than 300.

Yes, and 24 speakers is better than 8. That used to be the thing with a lot of bands at that time though, three SVT's.

That would work, but as far as I know, only an FX loop gives you direct access to an amp's power amp. Most of the crap house amps du jour don't have it.

What's the issue you have when running your pre into the front end?

I used to play like that all the time in one of my bands, two cabs is bass heaven for me but we played mostly bigger clubs at that time. The last time I used two was at an outside concert with a different band, the guitarist on my side was complaining before I even turned it on.

Pharaoh Sanders died today obituary in Miscellaneous.

It came on the inexpensive MIC bass. It's quite heavy (chrome-plated brass) but after lowering it into the body, I was able to get good action. Spot-on intonation also. The chance I took that I could make this inexpensive MIC bass, which I saw as raw materials into a decent playable instrument played out favorably.

I've always had the opposite running pre's right into the front end.

When you play through the B-15, do you use your pre with it, if so, how do you run it?

I measured the impedance on the MM 115RH at 5.8-5.9 ohms. That seems low for an 8 ohm cab? Everything online says about 7.
