And it’s killin my freaking back. Sciatic nerve pain shooting down both legs, lower back arthritic pain and torn rotator cuff pain has me convinced I shoulda just paid somebody else to do the damn job.
Which is exactly what I’m gonna do for the upstairs painting!

So that’s what the fancy ladder was for!

Pure mud, no cut through what so ever as well.

Then I expect to have to go all Lemmy on it and have Bass and Treble at 0 and Mid at 11.

I've never had good luck running a pre into an amp's input. Open to suggestions for that.

My Sunn has a pre amp in on the back. Will a pre amp work at the levels expected on the instrument in jack?

That would work, but as far as I know, only an FX loop gives you direct access to an amp's power amp. Most of the crap house amps du jour don't have it.
