The Univox is my first real bass amp optimistically called the B250, it made me long for my first amp a Ampeg Reverbrocket II. I picked this up a while ago as a nod to my early days, as unremarkable as I remember.That's half your stuff? I don't feel so bad now.The first amp I bought was a Univox tube bass amp with one 15" speaker, I can't even remember what it looked like, I think it was about 30 watts.
Gotcha, i do remember it.
But Dave has been up to sneaky stuff, just like Marshall.
Yeah, mine was a POS, I've searched online but can't find any tube Univox bass amp like that, who knows? I have a Reverberocket, 18 watts with one 12", great guitar amp, it's got 6V6's instead of the hifi tubes they used on most of them (7591's?), it's stock too, I think it's about a '63.

My project for this morning has been to finally, after months (at least....), getting around to re-assembling my "Iron Man" bass (made from a box of scraps 
).
It's a total PoS, some of you my remember it from when it had a broken-off headstock.....
...I just got tired of all the parts laying around in the way in several places. Now I can stick it in a corner somewhere less in the way
Weirdly, after plenty of adjustments and a neck shim, it doesn't play too bad. For having a complete
neck.
Sounds surprisingly okay-ish through the big Peavey, kinda has a bit of an 80s metal vibe.....imo what should be expected from anything with an Explorer shape
.....but still, total junk. Putting it in with a pile of firewood would de-value the firewood

Cheap Trick anticipated Voivod's 1988 sound for 10 seconds in 1977. The bass sound is spot on and Rick's guitar figures match Piggy's.
Been listening to that whole "Out To Get You" livealbum from Spotify and they really were on fire. Great sound and energy and Peterson's T-Bird sounds perfect. They play almost all of their debut, plenty of stuff from to be released second, a b-side ("Oh Boy") and even some stuff from third plus some unreleased old gems. I wish there was a regular cd of it instead of the Japanese import.

Don't recall giving an update to the Tigerbird tweak before it got delivered to my friend.
^^^Upgraded the hardware from Chrome to black, featuring a hipshot kicka$$ bridge, new bone nut with narrow spacing. Shaved the neck profile to be more a keen to thunderbird. Plugged up the dual J humbucker route in favour of keeping the one single J route closer to the bridge. Reburned, logo'd & serial numbered for my Friend in particular. He loves it, it played sweet, & i did record at least one bass riff with it before parting. Glad it has a new home in which it's played constantly
While on bird subject; anyone ever think of implementing a push-pull, or DPDT mini toggle to go from series/parallel on their thunderbird (post 88 gibsons, epiphone passives)? I'm debating doing this to my red treebird which only has a single kill switch, but thinking of implementing at least a volume control & perhaps a tone control (feel it's really dark for a bass without having to engage any of my effects to brighten up its tone). Anyways, thought it'd be interesting to have both the common parallel tone of 60's & post 88 birds, & series tone of the 76-79 birds at flick of a switch (or pull of pot).

I have two short Mogadishu cables for between basses and my wireless transmitters. Maybe They were from a band batch. But I always have to tighten them at the plugs. I have some Pig Hogs that have been fine.
The preamps look very similar to SVT's main preamp except backwards. The second channel is similar to a B-15.
But Temecula has good wineries.
I wonder where these cats got the idea to dress in crazy stage clothes.
