I love that sunburst NR but yeah that was funny. I've been a huge Everly Brothers fan all my life, my rock n roll aunt turned me on to them when I was a kid.

I love the color!

When I got it it was white and the bass was a basket case, missing many parts. It was a pretty thorough resurrection.

Between that purple one, your green one, the creme one, the white ones I've seen, and the black ones I've seen, I'm gassing for reverse ones big time.

By coinkydink, the Wednesday jam happens to be within 3 miles of Rice.

I have heard T-birds in blues, back in '89 or so.

A band I used to go see, bassist had both reverse and NR 60s vintage. Great tone thru some big Peavey rig.

As I recall, the NR sounded like a brawnier P bass, but with a more interesting organic "grit" on top, for lack of better terms.

Cheap Trick anticipated Voivod's 1988 sound for 10 seconds in 1977. The bass sound is spot on and Rick's guitar figures match Piggy's.


Been listening to that whole "Out To Get You" livealbum from Spotify and they really were on fire. Great sound and energy and Peterson's T-Bird sounds perfect. They play almost all of their debut, plenty of stuff from to be released second, a b-side ("Oh Boy") and even some stuff from third plus some unreleased old gems. I wish there was a regular cd of it instead of the Japanese import.

They played the Paradise in Boston about that time or maybe 1978 and a guitarist friend of mine saw them, Peterson used 3 SVT's which impressed the hell out of me.

A blues bass player in Boston, don't remember his name, used to use two Les Paul basses.

I have two short Mogadishu cables for between basses and my wireless transmitters. Maybe They were from a band batch. But I always have to tighten them at the plugs. I have some Pig Hogs that have been fine.

I've used my NR for everything from country through rock to big band and concert band.
A)I love the feel of the bass
B) For a long time it was the only bass I had
Those tone and volume knobs-bass and amp-move, ya know.
