After my CT release surgery, I was playing again after about 3 weeks (trying at 2 weeks). Not playing well mind you, but I can't really blame the surgery for that.

Strength, not pain, will be the issue. But no reason not to try; it is good therapy.

I'm optimistic until given reason to be the opposite. Just that what I am experiencing so far doesn't feel like an improvement.

Yard work consists of me watching someone else do it while i have a scotch.

Ouch... that looked painful... 2 1/2 months eh?.. I was told a month ~ Oh well - I will be attending rehearsals playing key-board bass with my right hand, for the foreseeable future... live shows in 2023.

That's cool that you're playing key bass to keep rehearsals going.

Welcome to the first week after surgery - the "why did I do this? I was better before" phase. It'll get better.
