Ouch... that looked painful... 2 1/2 months eh?.. I was told a month ~ Oh well - I will be attending rehearsals playing key-board bass with my right hand, for the foreseeable future... live shows in 2023.

Well, I was also rehabbing a broken wrist, the carpal release just happened to get done during the surgery to reset the broken wrist, so, 2 months or so to get back to playing wasn’t bad.

I understood that and I'm glad to hear after such a serious injury you are back to playing. I've had minor injuries, but nothing that has effected my life so directly.

I thought they were all ebony up to recently. The Flamingo which is a '91 and the 2001 both have ebony boards. The 2015 is rosewood. I think they switched to rosewood sometime around 2013. I believe Epiphone used rosewood or something like it far longer, but I don't know for sure.

This will pass and you will be glad you did it. Keeps them fingers moving, like someone said in a previous post, you gotta keep the tendons from sticking together (something like that)…

I think mine's ebony..........there's something under there!

Looks like it was sprayed with a fire extinguisher and then played.

I'll take them over Miller anytime.

I attended 4yr undergrad art school in KC/MO (KCAI) in the '70s and lived there for 6 years total. KC is known for jazz and their BBQ. Arthur Bryants is legendary and when dining there you drank what was on tap - ice-cold pitchers of Miller High Life or Pabst Blue Ribbon and it was perfect for complimenting their fine BBQ. :) Their sauce is unique and addicting. I still order it so I can at least revisit the taste.

apologies to vegans...

All of this Talk with Pictures of Broken Wrists and Carpal Tunnel has got me inspired for an Update. I had my Stitches and Brace removed Yesterday. My first O T Rehab starts on the 10th. Starting to get my Largely Swollen Fingers back to regular size. Not to good to look at every day. Going to be a bit of work involved to get the Full range of motion back. It's only time. On the Beer front there is none.
