Thunderbird Club

No, for a short time first VPs had tuners with longer "stems" and were more like the originals. Late 2017 and definitely 2018 they changed to the shorter tuner, but I'm thinking it was in 2017 when they changed. The earlier VP tuners are all perfect. The later VP has one that has a scratchy spot, but otherwise works perfectly and I would never personally waste money replacing tuners I've never had any problem with.

The longer stemmed ones are great for putting a crease in the(drummer's/lead singer's/cowbell player's)head.

Looks like my hour spent decapitating, peeling, and de-veining paid off. Sorry, no smell-o-vision. I think one of those Kingfishers might be in order. Just for fun I made my vegan daughter throw out the carcasses. I’m sure she would have preferred the corpses from @PillO.

For some of us, that's a terrible waste of bait.;)

Fred Turner is awesome, still has a great voice and looks very healthy. I remember that album (Not Fragile) getting slagged by a lot of critics, but I think it's held up pretty well.
Very true. He can still belt it out.
I never really cared for You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet, but the rest was great.

 Some places you just want to be there and say nothing. That is one of those places.
You’re welcome to stop by anytime for an extensive hands on run through the Bass and Guitar Boutique. Alcohol and other beverages are on the house. Make an offer on something and you might just go home with it. Ask Marshall, he’s a pretty happy camper right now.

Disagree. There are a couple of things to say.
"Hey, what's that over there?" followed by "No there were only 7 there. I wondered why you were putting out an empty stand..."
LOL - that pic as taken about 10 feet from the front door, so you could easily do a distract and dash. I’d estimate you have a 50/50 chance to get to your car before you’re exposed to either high velocity lead poisoning or licked to death by an overly loving Australian Shepard that will chase/herd anything moving faster than a brisk walk. ;):D

The only way to lay out the body shape on the blank would be at an angle because the blank is just wide enough, but the body is offset. Looking at the face of the body (with the neck to right) the grain could not run horizontally. Not really a problem if it was a solid colour, but I wouldn’t build a new bass that way.

Thanks for that gracious offer. But sounds like it would prove to be an expensive trip. Even if I came home empty handed--which seems unlikely!

Yes, but if you laid it out straight, the body would only be about 1/8"(or ? mm)smaller all the way around. Sorta a Baby-'Bird. Lighter too. I refer back to the previous calipers comment.
It'd be a "one-of-a-kind". Which could be really good or really not.
