Thunderbird Club

If they don't do right by you, I would suggest trying the MONO M80 Betty. It comes in a variety of colors and in two different sizes (short and long). The Mono stuff tends to be spendy but I have seen them for $39 (U.S.). Here is their pitch, which gives you an idea on design and materials:The Betty (Black-Long)

Thanks for that . I was looking at the Mono straps too . Ive got a couple of good Levis ones but fancied a change and the Neo one got great reviews but there are two different models . I typically chose the wrong one

I am definitely vibing on this 8x10/Thunderbird combo! Played the first show with the 8x10 a week ago, great sound.

Just to be clear, I assume the soldering iron should not touch the walls or burn them. We just want to heat up the walls that have moisture in them in order for the wood to expand.

You could use a bit of damp cloth between the soldering iron and the wood.
Exactly. Yes you can touch the wood with the soldering iron, just keep it moving, the damp cloth can help too in that it will slow the heating process down and stop potential scorching but as long as your not watching the TV at the same time you should have no bother. The damp cloth is very useful on furniture where you can use an iron, even with varnish on you can get a pin and lightly stab the surface of a dent and steam it out. Obviously dont do that on wood that has a finish that will be marked by water

That's a fantastic pic!
I'd love to see this in one of those "caption this picture" contests.
My entry ...
"I can't believe the bass player left his TBird out during break, if I can grab it quick and bolt through that curtain it's all mine!"

I do look a bit furtive now you mention it :D I think during that moment the drummer was really milking the ending and I was giving him the eye for us to finish the song.

That's with the Epi bird, haven't decided yet whether to setup the Greco for this band. I think it would sound huge, and its my main band, but I don't know how the shorter scale will handle C tuning, and I'm enjoying the Greco with La Bellas for the funk project I've just got off the ground. I guess you can just never have enough Grecos :)

So is the Greco bird a shorter scale than the Gibby/Eppi?

I stand corrected!! I even did a search for images and found nothing. Totally forgot about this Bird!!

I didn't... ;)

Went straight to Low End Guitars to find the picture, but ended up doing a google search, as they only had a 5'er on their website and I knew I had seen a 6-string of theirs...
