Update: (after seeing that cast again~) Had the (2) stitches out on Monday and met with the surgeon. The incision is healing well and should be fully healed by the end of the month, so still limited use. The Dr said in a year it should be pretty much back to normal. It was the first good news I'd heard - I was starting to feel it was going to stay the same. So change will be incremental and subtle, but just knowing this made my day. In 12 months, even if it's not 100% better, it will be much better than it is now.

Rehearsal tonight - we rehearsed last Thursday and I was able to play - I normally have a light left-hand touch which helps. Zach and Kirstin were feeling much better after their bouts w/Covid and we worked on 3 new songs. Next Tuesday I have a rehearsal with Cherie auditioning a new drummer for Bond Girl.

I'm still getting my midi-keyboard together (ordered cables) and will learn our songs using it over time. Onward and upward! :bassist:

I'm happy to hear that things are improving. Keep using your hand (but not over-using) and improvements will continue. :thumbsup:

Getting a head start on the weekend's project: cleaned the neck (400 sandpaper, very light wool and paint thinner), taped it and applied first coat. Keeping the frets intact is a challenge, but for me it's still better than taking them off. I'm sure more skilled hands will opt for that direction though. I've cleaned them as best as I could after the 1st coat, will do after each coat, using a small amount of thinner applied by a cotton swab. Could use a tooth brush.

I just had surgery for Dupuytren's contracture today, left ring finger. I've had it for over thirty years, but it just got bad over the past 10 or so. I tried to have it done three times before and something always got in the way, moved out of state, insurance, and lately the pandemic. I'm not sure how long I'll have to lay off, I was told about a month last time, but I'm very happy to have finally had the surgery. I'll need PT also.

DR's are round core I believe and very flexible, I prefer a stiffer string. They're very good strings though.

Good to hear you finally were able to have it worked on. Stick with that PT, it absolutely makes a difference. :thumbsup:
