There was or is a local band in the Worcester, Mass area called A Flock of A**holes. I just googled it and they're still active

"Worcester’s favorite 80’s cover band playing you all the hits. The winner’s of several awards for best cover band in Worcester. Many years in a row!"

V - not all the Nasty Habits songs need to be popular classic rock dance tunes. I think you and the band could pull off this sultry sexy bluesy burlesque thing with great success, especially if you soloed the vocals under a spotlight in that red dress…

Great band, very good sounding upright too, she has a very nice old timey jazz voice.

But TNH is a loud rock band, that's just what we do.
In the past, most nights (3 55 min sets) we wouldn't even think of a "slow or quiet song", we broke from that a couple times to try "Under the Milky Way" by The Church and "Joey" by Concrete Blonde. Both went over "okay" and did give us a chance to collect our breath, going forward I'm hoping to pull this off...... Our new girl has the pipes to do it.

I think Chucky's band could do this quite well too.

Always loved that song, kinda has a classic Roy Orbison vibe to it.

You might (might not) like the album he did with Alison Krauss. There is a live version/documentary of them doing the album that's better than the recorded version. I was amazed. Really different. Most interesting thing he's done since LZ for my tastes. Some songs were her's and some his/LZ. Whoever thought to put those unlikely two together was on top of their game.

The 8os band I was in, Gener80r, heard of these guys. Never saw them though.

Glad to see this thread is still always near the top of the Basses forum feed! Of course it is!

A bandmate who repairs furniture is repairing the biggish dugout/ding at the lower bout of my CP 'Bird. Hopefully getting it back soon. Until then the Heckinhecker has been filling in. Very Rickenbackery, in a very Mahogany kind of way.

Looking forward to getting Birdie Num-Num back into the fray.
